Auld Lang Syne (old times - Is it right that old times be forgotten?) is a Scots-language poem written by Robert Burns in 1788 and set to the tune of a traditional folk song. As a standard in music, Auld Lang Syne has been recorded many times, in every conceivable style, by many artists, both well-known and obscure.
